Dollar Tree DIY Christmas Decor – Jingle Bell Shadow Box
Hey My Loves,
I hope you guys are enjoying your extra long weekend. I know I am 😎! These extra days have given me time to come up with projects and ways to craft my little heart away. Lately, I have been really inspired to create my own Christmas decorations. Especially after visiting a few of my favorite Christmas stores and seeing how expensive some of the Christmas decorations were compared to how simple they looked. Hmph 😒.
Now, I don’t know how much of my creations will turn out how I imagine them or if I’ll even be able to get them all done over the next few weeks, but either way I’m super excited to bring you along with each project 😘.
Today’s DIY is a Jingle Bell Shadow box created with items purchased from the Dollar Tree. I absolutely adore shadow boxes and the thought that I could make my own really excited me.
So, without further ado, let us get started with supplies:
DURATION: 2hr | MY COST: apprx. $3 | DIFFICULTY: Easy
“MY COST” may or may not reflect the cost of items that I already own, but I will try to list each item as well as suggestions as to where to purchase them. Items that I had to purchase for the project will be bold with a price. If you have any questions about an item, please leave a comment below.

Hi Doug. Yes I can help. Please tell me what you’re having trouble opening. Shimming the edges?
I would probably replace the foam with balsam wood and use it to display a treasured Christmas tree ornament, rather than jingle bells.
That’s a perfect idea, Doug. You can do so much with shadow boxes. Thanks for stopping by.

How do shim the foam board?
Using a box cutter/utility knife
I used a utility knife. But I also use a heat knife in projects.
I am interested in seeing the tutorial on shadow box -only-4-step. But can’t seem to get it opened . Can you help? TY
Great share.
Thank you
